Will be visiting Angel Falls and then on to Colombia to visit Santa Marta, Cartagena, and Medellin. I am interested in the availability of vegan food and beers. Any other traveling tips are welcome, too.

Thanks Love,
Vegan life in Mauritius is good a part from the fact that I am the only vegan in the country. Sadly, the resorts get lots of vegetarian visitors but the hotels where I work get less than one vegan visitor per year. However, most of the 4 and 5 star resorts can put together a decent vegan meal on request. The supermarkets have plenty of processed soya products, such as FRYS from south Africa. Hinduism is the main religion in Mauritius so there is lots of vegetarian food. However, they like to put milk in lots of their food which makes it difficult when visiting homes and local restaurants.
I'm getting back from South America in the end of August and will let you know how it went.
