Postby alanmaldonado » Fri Mar 23, 2012 2:43 am

I'm new to the vegan lifestyle and live in south Florida. Does anyone know if there are veg'n restaurants in the south Florida area? Is there a website that lists them by region?

We used to visit St. Petersburg every year. That was a great place for vegan food.

What fitness training do you like?
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."

Oh yes, there are a few places I can recommended to you:
First Sublime a vegan fancy restaurant owned by an animal activist al the profits goes animal non profits organisations
Second: Green Wave Cafe, good raw food menu. Kind people less fancy but taste very good and pure. they do give also workshops
Third: Sweet tomatoes has very good vegan options. We love to go. Make your own salad from a huge saladbar. There are always one or two vegan soups and often warm food and desserts . $ 8,99 for the three courses
Forth: Pizza Fusion They have good vegan pizza's
Ah almost forgot a very good place in Miami Books and Books they offers special vegan options on the menu

Whole foods in Fort Lauderdale has special events through the month, sometimes Vegan. You pay $ 15,- and they cook for you vegan and you talk about the food, eat and socialise withe the other people.
You get the recipes they make.

Hm... than you have an anual event on the sea. Yes belive it or not but: Vegan Cruisse. Holistic at the sea. We just went there. If you can go next year: GO. The food is vegan and many important speakers are there. Like Colin Campbell, Neal Barnard, Dr. Esselstyn. Great lectures but also cook demonstrations, yoga lessons and much more.
This year there were 1200 people who came for this event and some more that would come but couldn't because it was sold out.

If you go to the Keys, there is a very beautiful vegan B&B Deer Run. I think this is paradise.
Breakfast is faboulus but also they place. Key deer walked around the place and much more other animals who like to come.
You can use boots and bikes to tour around.
