I'm traveling to Long Beach in two weeks to compete in the World Championships in brazilian jiu-jitsu

Could someone recommend good restaurants? The first days I have to be strict with the weight but after the weight category I wan't to eat really well

So please tell me the best restaurants where to eat!

I'm off to LA soon too (might give the World Championships a miss though, shoulder is a bit sore you see

). I asked about LA on the VBB board and was linked to this blog:
http://www.quarrygirl.com/She's LA based so lots of reviews around there.

California Vegan, in LA, is very good. Somewhere near Melrose Ave, as far as I remember. I'd recommend it.

And probably the former fastest British Vegan 10, 25 and 50 mile TT rider. Probably.

Quarrygirl is the go to blog for restaurant info in these parts.
What kind of food do you like?
I think she has a "Long Beach " section.
It may be worth it to drive the 20 minutes(depending on traffic and where you go) into town, somewhere, and eat.
Let me know if I can be of help if you haven't made it here yet.
