I am traveling to Puerto Rico at the end of the month with some friends. Any suggestions on finding good vegan food? I'll be in Luquillo, on the eastern side. From what I understand, there is a lot of pork and lard used in cooking there, yikes!
This is an issue that stresses me out in general actually, I have been abroad quite a bit as a vegetarian and even lived in India, but haven't been anywhere outside of the US in the 5+ years since I've been vegan.
Thank you!

Hola! How is your Espanol? That will likely make a big difference in your experience but you should be fine in general, particularly if you are flexible and up for trying new things. And of course, you can always prepare your own food. And have a look around this:

Thanks for your response! My Spanish is decent, I can definitely communicate my needs (but maybe not the impetus behind them). And I love trying new things, I'll eat anything as long as it's vegan!
I'll try some of the spots suggested and report back.
!Gracias!
