Postby penguin » Mon Sep 26, 2011 4:54 pm

hi, coming to london with a friend for few days mid october (17-19.10.), can anyone suggest some cheap hostels or hotels? Or if someone can offer a place to sleep for two nights come forward :)

the YHA hostel near Kings Cross is excellent location wise, extremely secure and clean. Pub next door to it has free wi fi by the way.

also this should probably be in travel section where it might get more responses.
JS - They think it will open the door to folk like LordMuppet campaigning for a threeway?

It would be really cool to see more VFers hosting other traveling VFers! :D

Has everyone here checked out http://www.couchsurfing.org? It is totally free, and they have a number of Vegan & Veg oriented groups & tons of Vegan & Vegan-friendly members!

I stayed in this hostel the last time I was in London, I thought it was rather nice: http://www.palmerslodge.co.uk/content/p ... ss-cottage
Its in Swiss Cottage - not too far from the centre, I think its fairly easy to get there on the tube. It has free wifi, and includes breakfast (cereal, toast, coffee, juice etc, though probably best to take your own soya milk).

Thanks for all the replies! We ended up staying in St. Christophers (Camden). Seemed like a good one, but we mainly just slept the nights there.
