Vegan Bath

Postby Cookie » Mon Jun 25, 2007 4:55 pm

Boyfriend and I are off on a break to Bath. So I thought I'd survey you fine people and see if you have any tips. Good hotels, vegan places to eat... Any of you been to Bath? :D

yes!

Demuths is pretty popular http://www.demuths.co.uk/ Their menu is also clearly marked for vegans.

There's Thermae Bath Spa there as well, if you are into that sort of thing

Last time we were in Bath I think we ended up driving to Bristol for a meal as there are just SO many vegan places to eat there.

Wow Demuths looks great. There aren't any places like that near me, I'm already excited   Thanks for that. I hadn't thought about spa stuff. Hmmm, wonder if I could convince the boyfriend that that is a good idea... :D

I haven't been to Demuths for a few years but if the chocolate fudge cake is still on the menu, it's great! :D Have a lovely trip.

I cycled to through Bath in 1979 on the way to Land's End.

I guess it might have changed a little?

Hmmm. I'll have a look for the Porter thanks alit. And in honour of the craziest vegan I'll make sure both bf and I keep our sunglasses on during the visit :D

I've never been to Bath, so it should be interesting. Duke- I'll take pictures and you can compare it to your wartime experiences.

Porters would be good for a lunch huge portions of good basic tasty veggie/vegan food for around £5.

Demuths good for a special eve meal - expensive but worth it im told!
