It's not just local pride that keeps forcing me to tell you guys to come visit Boston. It's exceptionally vegan friendly and just an awesome city in general. It's so awesome I bought a home here in spite of the fact that the cold and snow just about kills me during the winter.
But I digress.
Peace o Pie in Allston, MA is the best pizza I've had in ages, hands down. This includes regular omni pizza back when I was eating dairy, and even before I gave up eating meat. I do not say this lightly. I grew up an hour north of NYC and was spoiled on pizza, particularly NY style pizza.
While I would not call what they have NY style pizza (I'd have to try their plain cheese to know) their sauce is AMAZING. I had their cheesy breadsticks and their BBQ chic small pizza. As I type this I'm still ready to explode and drinking a ton of water and tea, but it's so so worth it. I'm just thinking of it as fuel for the elliptical later.
And they use Daiya cheese, which is the best vegan cheese on the planet. Absolutely amazing.
