rocked my world several months ago and i have been very reluctant to play any other game knowing it will be complete shit. such as the infamous Morrowind 3
, whoops, i ment: Fallout 3.
but i remember the old days when a fresh team of developers was not scared of pushing the envelope and created a real time strategy that was completely different than anything else at the time: it was fully 3D, you could move around the camera any way you liked, there was no blasphemous base building and tank rushing, yet the graphics were incredible and the units were customisable. you might remember it as GROUND CONTROL
but, Massive Ent. being the jerks they are quickly shat on it with a data disc nobody could like considering they killed of the main hero of the original game IN THE FIRST MISSION, replacing him with some disgusting pirates. jolly good
needless to say ground control 2
was even worse. unit stacking, base building, resource gathering and other shit like that. however, it looks like the hate mail i sent them actually made them think a bit and
WORLD IN CONFLICT
has arrived. almost a year ago, but i was nevertheless frightened to try it out. let's see the checklist:
- no unit stacking * check
- no base building * check
- limited use of special powers * WTF!?
- free camera * WHICH DOES NOT ZOOM OUT ENOUGH?!
- great plot and storyline * WAIT A MINUTE...
it was so boring i had to skip all the intros and gave up five minutes into the first mission.
developers, please stop making shit games dumbed down for the console tahrds.
Next time, I'll spend the money on drugs instead.
