whoa!!! talk about immersion!!!

Yeah man, that's lazy writing on a massive scale. I am sure I will like FO3, I am confident it wont be a POS, but I have other plans... Van Buren. I have been in contact with an ex-dev, and it looks very likely I will be putting a modding team together post MR :) it will be a FO2 mod though.

Shenmue was an awesome game! but I don't think there are any DC emulators, although I am a few years out of that scene now.

"Shenmue was an awesome game!"

Wasn't it just!

I've just been given an old copy of Rayman (the original 2d one) - looking foward to playing that.

I love Sonic the Hedgehog, but I think the 3d one's don't play anyway nearly as well as the old 2d one's. What happened?

so PORTAL rocked my world several months ago and i have been very reluctant to play any other game knowing it will be complete shit. such as the infamous Morrowind 3, whoops, i ment: Fallout 3.

AVOID.

but i remember the old days when a fresh team of developers was not scared of pushing the envelope and created a real time strategy that was completely different than anything else at the time: it was fully 3D, you could move around the camera any way you liked, there was no blasphemous base building and tank rushing, yet the graphics were incredible and the units were customisable. you might remember it as GROUND CONTROL

but, Massive Ent. being the jerks they are quickly shat on it with a data disc nobody could like considering they killed of the main hero of the original game IN THE FIRST MISSION, replacing him with some disgusting pirates. jolly good  :x

needless to say ground control 2 was even worse. unit stacking, base building, resource gathering and other shit like that. however, it looks like the hate mail i sent them actually made them think a bit and

WORLD IN CONFLICT has arrived. almost a year ago, but i was nevertheless frightened to try it out. let's see the checklist:

- no unit stacking * check
- no base building * check
- limited use of special powers * WTF!?
- free camera * WHICH DOES NOT ZOOM OUT ENOUGH?!
- great plot and storyline * WAIT A MINUTE...

it was so boring i had to skip all the intros and gave up five minutes into the first mission.

developers, please stop making shit games dumbed down for the console tahrds.

Fallout 3 was not a bad game, but only if you pretend it's not trying to be Fallout. The writing is pretty terrible though. I write better quests, I am am just some dude on the internet.

I wrote a remake / re-imagining of WASTELAND, Las Vegas for MR. I am pretty sure the old school gamers will love it. In about 4 months I am hoping to be famous among all the basement-dwellers, and non-basement-dwelling Fallout fans.

I am thinking of writing a Deathlands TC for FO3, but have to many other FO2 related mod plans.

I've been playing Mirrors Edge at the mo. It's pretty good.

And I've started playing GTA4 again, I'll avoid the girl who turns out to be an undercover cop and see if the game pans out any different.

I'm gonna continue with MGS4 now I know how to kill vamp.

I must admit I've got a xbox 360 and got pretty obsessed with a couple of games on it, especially Online Ghost Recon battles, fucking loved that shit. But about a year ago I decided to knock it on the head as I was up till 3am on work nights playing multiplayer battles. My bro is much more into games than me and has had serious issues with games and his social skills suffer because he's mostly playing games at home on his Pc, 360 or PS3. I'm concerned he's spiraling downward again into the world of games playing them more and more lately... The question is are games healthy? I read a post by spug and he said he only plays social games, ie. with other people, this to me seems what gaming should be like?

There is only an issue if you are unable to provide for your self. I have been ranked in the world on a few games, most notably RA2. But I still work blah etc. My brother is the flip side. He is still playing WOW. Get your brother a motorbike, that will get him out of the house :P well that's my plan.

BRAID finally came out for PC, and at a price which is a real bargain for an inspirational product such as this.

I can theoretically compare it to Portal, but still think Portal is way better. This one however has a lot more difficult and frustrating puzzles which make my lame brain hurt.

If you're up for a mental workout don't miss out on this one. Thumbs up for creative gaming on the PC!!!

Not sure about emulators, but I've dug out my old dreamcast. Got any other favourite DC games?

Not sure where my games have gone (the dangers of loaning your console to your brother), at the moment all I can find is ChuChu Rocket, Ferarri355, RE Code Veronica, Shenmue, Quake 3 and Ready 2 Rumble boxing.

Quite fancy picking up Jet Set Radio and REZ. Anything else I should check out?

I've also rediscovered my PSP recently, now that I've got a commute. Rarely see another PSPer on the tube though, they're all DS or iPhone gamers :(

Played through God Of War: Chains Of Olympus (awesome series of games), Killzone Liberation and both Syphon Filters that are available on PSP. I'm plugging away at GTA: Liberty City Stories when the mood takes me, but just now most of the time I'm playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Such a beautiful game. Believe it or not it's the first FF game I've played to any extent.

Picked up a copy of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops for a fiver the other day too. PSP games are so cheap nowadays.

Future plans include Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Dead Head Fred, Silent Hill Origins, Resistance: Retribution and probably a couple of FPS and stategy type games too.

UFC Unleashed comes out tomorrow. I played the demo and it's actually really really good. I wasn't sure how they'd do this or if it would be a WWF game with different guys, but it's actually pretty fun.
