Is "rock star" the new word for "poseur"

My answer would be:
1) Wouldnt think so, never heard it used that way, but on the other hand, what do I know, Im from sweden after all . I would say though, that to be a rock star it sure helps to have some poseurish qualities.
2) I dont see why not.

three answers:

a) it is, if becoming a rock star is your purpose
b) it is, if becoming a rock star is not your purpose, but you become a rock star anyway, and you start behaving like your "new role" imposes you to
c) it's not, if becoming a rock star is not your purpose, and you continue behaving like if you were not, even after becoming one
