I watched Blade Trinity on DVD last night. I watched a special feature that was about the 'boot camp' the actors (esp Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biels) had to go through to prepare. Weightlifting, martial arts, archery. I get so jealous when I hear about actors doing that--I wish I could get paid for a few months of intense training that would get me in the best shape of my life!

[quote="fredrikw"][quote="J"]Yeah I'd like to see that. But let's not spend too much time watching movies. I'm not paying 950 for 7 days to watch movies.

check out the schedule J, it's not 7 days of movies but one movie night.

Chill out.

[quote]I actually think that DiCaprio did a really good job in The Aviator, he is actually a rather skilled actor, just that he's constantly being miscasted in bad movies... He was brilliant in Gilbert Grape, and did a good job in Catch Me If You Can as well.

Yes he is a good actor.

???? hey man, fredrik pointed out that there is a movie night in the schedule. It has been there from the start and we have been organising a place and a projector for it so we can get the whole crew in. if you don't want to take part to that, its cool, its no big deal, plenty to do in manchester mate. But i think saying "i'm not paying blah blah" doesn't sound too chilled either...

Er, what the hell? I said at the beginning of the post I'd be happy to see the movie...!!??

Well then something was lost in translation. I meant it in jest. Thanks for assuming I'm some kind of asshole. 1800 posts obviously doesn't get one very far.

...you never miss an opportunity, proper fundamentalist attitude :D

to counterbalance that, lets put this one here as well ;)

Great movie.

But if we stick to the theme of the original thread which is about movies you have just watched and want to recommend or comment on, we just saw war of the worlds, which was really bad, but entertaining at times.

And as far as TV series go, we have been watching Trailer Park Boys for the past 8 weeks and just finished the season 5. That is some proper funny stuff :D Will there be a season 6?

...and Riget (thanks to Fredrik for the 4 DVD's)

Really freaky Danish series about a haunted hospital called 'the Kingdom'. I'm really enjoying it (almost finished- last episode to go)

nah, I don't think Pippi is such a good role model, just look at what she, Tommy and Annika is up to...

I finally got to see 'the machinist' a couple of days ago. Christian bale looks macabre. dont expect a batman physic - for anyone who doesnt know, he lost masses and masses of weight for the film, and required medical help both to lose it and regain it safely. He is normally a big guy, but he looks like a concentration camp victim. He is evidently in starvation mode, im sure that the slownest of his movements are not from acting. The acting (well Bale particularly) and filming is fabulous, but the plot is unoriginal and predictable (although still entertaining).

Also seen 'batman begins' - again with Bale, but looking more his normal self. Great film, i dont usually appreciate comic/blockbuster/hollywood type films, but this was very entertaining i have to say.

Ya'll got a problem with Pippi?

JP said: "Seen any good movies lately? Post here!" - There are good movies that I've watched recently do I posted 'em. I've watched Moore's propoganda piece - have ya'll seen "Deacons For Defense" or "Innocents Betrayed"?

I've never started a thread on gun stuff and dont appreciate the constant sarcasm. As for other types of threads I've posted - take yer pick:
