Writers For Animals will be a book of stories published May 2012 to raise funds for animal rescues. The editorial collective are looking for contributions of 800 - 8,000 words. They want both true-life stories about animals and the people who've helped them, plus fiction for adults and teenagers in every genre. Most of the readers will be British, though contributions can be international.
You can write whatever you like, provided it has some animal characters and/or relevance to animal issues. Not every submission will be included, and contributors will not be paid, as this is a fund-raiser.
Stories only please! No poetry, essays, sexually-explicit content, copyrighted stuff, political opinions, opening chapters of novels or children's stories. The closing date is 31st March 2012. For info on how to submit, please email writersforanimals at live.co.uk
