have to say, didnt like breaking bad, watched couple episodes, but perhaps my hatred for meth dealers ruins it for me :D I just want to shoot the guy...

comedies - i am a bit too critical of them when going through the trouble of actually downloading episodes. Most of the mentioned i could maybe watch on a plane, or in a hotel room, but wouldnt download them, especially the "ready laughed" ones. Comedies i like are more in the style of office, trailer park boys, flight of the conchords... have i got news for you... ;)

Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas, have sampled a few and what stands out at the moment is "justified" - pretty good find that one, thanks!

life on mars and ashes to ashes were ok.

Some series which we just finished and which were brilliant were Luther (UK dark crime series with the dude form Wire), and swedish Wallander (which swedes dont like, and rest of the world love ;) ) - the UK version of wallander was awesome too.

I just watched box set of gavin and stacey - quality series :)

A few guys have mentioned mad men - still have to watch it yet and I think season 3 or 4 is about to start so cannot say either way if it's good or bad.

Have you seen Better off Ted or Modern Family? Both are comedies, the latter a bit uncomfortable, "the Office light" you could say.

Really into Deadwood at the moment, despite being completely uninterested in that era. The script and the acting is just superb, it's almost like watching very good theater. It requires a lot of concentration in the beginning though because the script is written in the language of the late 1800's and it's quite complex! Also, I have never watched a TV series or movie with so much swearing, it's not for the fainthearted.

I was just thinking about what to watch next. Excellent suggestion.

If you don't mind seeing dead pigs being put to the sword, Deadliest Warrior is the greatest show ever made.

Have also been enjoying Oz recently, currently working through season 2. Also just finished 1st season of Breaking Bad & nearly done with season 3 of Dexter. All 3 are pretty sweet in my opinion.

Also borrowed the complete Battlestar Galactica boxset (remake not original) from a mate - pretty dire.
