Murakami (naturally) and King were my two favourites from those few.

Terrible sense of doom and inevitability. But great depiction of how it feels to be in love. The highs and the lows.

Seven Pillars of Wisdom

An absolute masterpiece. Not just an account of the arab revolt, more a portrait of the characters involved. And still as relevant now, as ninety years ago. Western powers fighting over the middle east, using the arabs and eventually betraying them, with the arabs fighting over tribal loyalties and religious differences.

Richard was the candidate for elections for Animals Count in London. I have heard him speak and hes incredibly eloquent and emotive but this is his first novel.

Just finished Lionel Terray's "Conquistadors of the Useless" and Dan John & Pavel's "Easy Strength" (best book on strength training I've read so far). Also rwad Galen Rowell's book on ultrarunning. Now reading Lance Armstrong "It's Not About the Bike" and Murakami "What I Think About When I Think About Running" and re-reading "Born to Run" via audiobook.

I recently read the graphic novel version of Fahrenheit. I love all of the classic dystopian stories.
