Participation

Postby Oak » Fri Aug 26, 2005 12:20 pm

This is a table for people to participate in recording their progress in running the various running distances

The rules are simple

1. Runner must be vegan
2. Distance must be measured not estimated
3. Run can be outdoor or indoor, but indoor must be stated
4. The run must have been done in the last ten years

Just post your personal best time (PB), the distance, your sex and whether the run was done indoors or outdoor.
If a race then it would be of interest to state finishing position and amount of runners.

If you get a better PB then I’ll update the table, this will be done roughly every two weeks depending apon posts

Check out your local athletic track or contact a local running group for routes and distances.

If there is a demand then other distances or a wheelchair distance table could be added

Some great running times!

Welcome to the running table marathonmike, that must have felt great to run and come in 25th. I mean when you are that far ahead of the crowd it must be quite sureal?

Well done beyondkenyan for smashing you previous half-marathon PB, and you wife happyflower in the 5k is seconds ahead of marathon girl. What a close one

I'm entering a couple of runs soon, a 10k and a 5k. So I'll see how that goes. I'm expecting sub40 for the 10k and around 18minutes for the 5k. But i'll see how my other test runs go.

I'm expecting to come in about an hour in my 10k! Just to put it all in perspective... Still a seventeen minute improvement on my first ten k four years ago.

I have a PB on 10k now: 46.01
[quote="JP"]Spirulina is a badass crew, and they often just hang around in street corners looking to beat up proteins.

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

My PB for 10 k is 54 min (boddington 10K) but this course has an overall downhill gradient - i think it looses 2% over the entire course, so im not sure that the result counts as a PB.

But if it doesnt then i got 59.42 in amsterdam

Update

Postby Oak » Sun Oct 30, 2005 1:22 pm

Loads of new updates due to the loads of fit vegans getting together to hurt themselves

Congratulations to all of you that ran the 10k!! You all got great times, no 1:30's at all. Even big Bronco got a great time.
A bit hurray to Runner who got a new PB in the 10k. Now at 37minutes.

Julle and Vegluteus have just added their times. Really close to each other's times too. Hope to here more about both of your racing calenders.
