[quote]Finishing in the olympic stadium was ace - there was a great atmosphere there especially at the end of the marathon, and it was awesome seeing both Gebreselassie and marathongirl finish.

Totally agree with that - it was great seeing them both running in real life. The turnout at the stadium was pretty good, far better than i was expecting.

Total and utter respect to Fiona for pushing on and finishing ninth despite having got a nasty injury at 30 k. That is dedication and inspiration no doubt!

And Maoz was great :D

I think you 6 vegans really should write down an article with some picture! Otherwise none outside VF will know about the race.

Cool, thanks for pointing those out :D.
[quote="JP"]Spirulina is a badass crew, and they often just hang around in street corners looking to beat up proteins.

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

Fiona has posted a report on her website:

http://www.towerhillstables.com/amsterdamnote.html

Quite incredible that she managed to carry on despite her knee problems. It's also amazing though, that she can be so competitive despite running a sanctuary single-handed and not having all the luxuries (coach, masseur, rest(!) etc.) that all the other elite athletes have.
