Vegan fitness Runners meething Amsterdam

Postby runner » Thu Jun 30, 2005 6:05 pm

Hi this is for all runners and ore supporters,

We, Skinny whippet and myself thought it would be nice to run with a big group of vegans. The 16th of October will be the 30th edition of the Amsterdam Marathon. Personally the marathon is a bit long for me and i think for more people so I thought it would be cool to do a 10k (10.000 meters). Depending on the interest we can arange free ore cheap places to sleep. Further I can show the city.. If you don't feel like running ore have a injury, you could come and join the runners before and after the run and enjoy the city..

If people prefere a longer distance there is also the marathon. The half marathon and a 2.5k youth run. It could be also a nice event to train for. for people who don't run to much.

more info on the race. the race will be cool as well the 42,195 meters with Haile Gebrselassie (his second)..

I'm not that much into running, but I'm a bit tempted anyway :) . 10k I should be able to do at a lousy time at least, and it would give extra motivation for my running. And of course, Allways fun to hang out with other vegans and I never been to Amsterdam either. So when would it be necessary to sign up for this?
[quote="JP"]Spirulina is a badass crew, and they often just hang around in street corners looking to beat up proteins.

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

Fredrik.

I posted a message in there guest book. But if you could say something in Swedish that would be cool.

Bronco,

Cool !!! That you are interested. At the moment it's just to see how many people are interested. if it's clear how many people are interested i will inform you on the details. To registrate for the race is cheaper if you do it before 22 of september, but it's posible up to 30 minutes before the start.

you are welcome, you have some time to train so you might improve but it's up to you.. I'm sure you'll not be the last at the finish. Most people don't even try so don't think about other peoples opinion.. ... more importand if you like to do it. you can also come to amsterdam as supporter if you don't want to run,... we will all support each other before and after the finish, ore if there are other people who run the same speed ore who do not run they support you during the race.. The finish will be in the olympic stadium for all of us so we will all wait there..
