Birmingham festival vegan runners

Postby Spyder » Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:22 pm

Hey!

anyone here who went to the birmingham festival and are joining the "vegan runners"? I don't think they have a website but I picked up a membership form and am thinking of joining.
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to running, I think I could develop quite fast though as I'm not in too bad shape.

I'm sure this is posted elsewhere on the forum and I will have a look around other posts, but can anyone point me in the right direction for developing leg muscle strength, stamina, flexibility etc. just some effective excercises to go with running.

Thanks for any help! :)

If there is something else I'ld love to hear about it.

Hiya

Vegan Runners in the uk is a branch of the Vegetarian Cycling and Athletic club - in excistence since the 19th Century - which I am a member of and will continue to as I cycle and run. My wife Suzanne has joined Vegan Runners and I know it's going to keep growing and growing!! The guy at the festival was Peter Simpson who is helping to spear head the vegan runners movement. Check out the Vegetarian C & AC website for more info and links.
