I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but I think only race times should count for this board. Race courses follow some certification process, whereas individuals aren't necessarily using those same practices. Times from races ensure standardization. As ninearms mentioned above, "It's not like the distance you run in a race is accurate anyway, unless you hit all the apexes." That's kind of the point. When you use your GPS or a pedometer or something similar, you're running exactly the distance. Part of racing well is knowing where to be and how to run the apexes. That's why there is a different section for track vs. road races. They're completely different, as is a time trial vs. an actual race. I think that training PRs are valuable and deserve just as much recognition, but I don't feel as though this board is the place for them.

All that aside, nice job on the continued improvement, Prime!

Also, congrats kallefs, hakko and fks on great times.

[quote="hakko"]Very impressive! Why not start a training log here so that we can follow your progress? And that goes for Prime as well!

I just might do that. My next post here will be a new marathon PB.

But the problem is still that there is not enough people on this board that runs races. But how about a compromise that the table stays the same, training runs with GPS counts but we just mark them with (training) or something similar? I know I would rather have race times here, even if they are slower than current times, but I just don't see me doing any 10k races for the next year. And it is more fun with a table that changes somewhat.

Thoughts?

Today I ran my first flat 10km race in three years. It was actually a 10000m race (25x400m circuit), not a 10km road race, but I guess it still counts? It's called "Enhörna Challenge", beware that their homepage seems infested with malware right now, so don't try and look it up.

My new PB is now... 36.48! hooray \o/

And (I've seen this before but forgotten to report it) it seems that Ha and fks appear multiple times in the list, so maybe only keep their best times?

Well done Hakko! 1 min 20 sec improvement means you have been doing something right this season :)

I have cleaned the 10k list from a Ha:s and fks slower times, please tell me if you guys find anything else that not seems right.
