Soreness

Postby Nikko » Mon Jun 18, 2012 12:26 am

Hey all, I've started doing strength exercises on my off running days, just body weight stuff, three reps to failure on a different set of muscles each day so I'm only doing my arms for example one day a week. A quick question though what are the best foods to be eating after a workout and even the next day to make sure my muscles are recovering sufficiently?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Soreness is inevitable when you train hard.

No specific foods are going to help you recover more than others. The most important thing is to eat enough, and that what you eat covers off your macronutirient needs (cho, protein, fat).

And to get enough rest.

Thanks for the reply. I know soreness is unavoidable just wanna make sure I'm eating the right things to aid in strengthening my muscles. I don't want to bulk up just strengthen.
