...our fav vegan runner was supposed to rabbit the race for his fellow
Americans who wanted to go for sub 2.19 but they seem to have dropped back in the middle of the marathon.
Thus Jeffrey changed his plan and decided to run a 2.16 and win the actual race.

Look at the finish video, doesn't he seem to have a lot left in the tank?

Simply amazing.

Amazing!!

He's still only 26 and this vegan will just get tougher at marathon.

F$ck, that's a brilliant time.

Haha....I wondered about that. I knew he was pacing and then when I saw he won, I was a little confused. That's just great. He's an amazing talent.

Jeff is a vegan.
Jeff ran over the line before the other guys.
That means Jeff won!

Want to see him in london 2012. Not sure if that's possible but he needs to give it a try. Its cool to see all types of runners representing in one way or an other vegan runners.

Jeff made the US Marathon Trials race awhile ago (at a 1/2 marathon no less) and DOES have a good shot at qualifying for London if the race goes his way. I'll certainly be watching for him!!

It would be cool but I don't think that he's there jet.

Why don't you think he is there yet? He has a 2:14 PR, knocking on the door of 2:13, from a year ago. That is PLENTY sufficient to place in the top 3 with a good Trials race.

The video is great, his surge after he'd dropped the Americans must have been extraordinary!
You can't even see him in the first clip when the Africans were leading the group, maybe they
felt (too) comfortable up there and didn't expect Jeff to come blasting out 4.40 miles after half
the race was done... I'll keep my fingers crossed for him at the trials.
