Who's got a race soon? What's your target for that event? Lets log what you have planned so we can give each other some encouragement.

May 14, 10 miles, Swiss Barb
May 21, Half marathon, Erske
May 29, Half Marathon, Konstantin.
June 24th, 50 mile, KJKrantz

The only race I know I am doing for sure is a 50 miler June 24th. I may do a local marathon in May...I'm not sure yet.

Let us know as soon as you can Runner.

I'm not sure about four hours. I'm running less mileage at the moment and have had two breaks from running recently. The course is a 2 lap course which is mainly flat but has a nasty hill at the difficult 21 mile point, so we'll wait and see. if I'm s;ow it won't bother me much.

I'm going to have a go at orienteering on Sunday.
I've never tried it before, although I've often thought about it, so when this one came up within walking distance of home, I thought I'd do it.

I signed up for my first 10K - Balmoral April 23rd or thereabouts.

Getting pre-race butterflies just thinking about it

Feb 12th - 6km (cross country)
Feb 26th - 11km
March 19th - 15km
May 14th - 10 miles

Those are only the ones I've already registered for, but I'll do plenty of local races (city/nature/mountain), usually every other weekend at least until October.

Good luck on Saturday Swiss Barb!

Ta Da! First half marathon completed! 2:11:46 I am most delighted. The weather was pretty beastly. It rained a little on and off and was a rather windy coastal route. I loved it. I want to do one every month.

I became 5th of my province on the cross last week and I'm so happy. It was my first event in a half year time because of an injury. Running without pain is the best thing ever.

20/02 cross, 5km
27/02 cross, circa 4,5 km (championship of my club)
20/03 9km on the road or 27/03 10 km on the road, I'll see.

I've got various things in the next couple of months and am now "racing" most weeks, but not taking most of them seriously - just a bit of fun and intensity. My next proper goal is Xterra in early April - an offroad tri where the run is 11km. Tonight is a short swim/run race with a nice and short 3km run.
