my ideal time is about 5 in the evening, for some reason my body is and has always been, wired to feel physically and mentally amped to run at that time. The seasons do mess with that a lot though, in NZ it was too hot to run at 5 in the afternoon so i was heading out around 7pm or 7.30. And in the winter in Germany it was too dark to run in the forest any time after 3 in the afternoon, and here in london i can go at that time but it will be dark.
I love running in the snow, i actually really like running in cold weather and im finding i also really enjoy running in the dark.my muscles feel strangely stronger in cold weather, and i think the darkness impairs my ability to judge my pace properly and i tend to run really strong fasters routes.!
Have to reccommend a good strong miners lamp for after dark though,..i learnt that the hard way :-)

Oh, I completely know where you're coming from :) Everything froze up here, it's one big slippery icy mess, impossible to run on.

Although the view from the train is still beautiful.

I love the mornings! I cut up a piece of fruit at bedtime and put it in the fridge, glass of water and running kit next to my bed, and by the time I'm fully awake I'm a mile out.

I tried to vote evening but it didn't let me :o

Anyway... I run with my club twice a week, once we start at 6.30 pm and the other time at 5.30 pm, and this is just perfect for me as it makes it possible to really shut the mental door on everything that has been a problem during my day at work.

I did go running a couple of times during lunch break and found it exhilarating, but then it means having to work longer hours in the afternoon and I don't like that.

I'm definitely not a morning person, having to wake up and have breakfast early is bad enough when I go to run a race, so I don't freely choose to do so on my own.

Absolute favorite time to run? Leave my place between 2100 and 2130 (couple hours) and get back when I get back. Late? Yes, but I'm a student. My sleeping schedule is crazy anyway.
