Great to see more joining!

I did a 10K this morning and I am going to use the sad results as my motivation. My plan is to find a race at the end of the 100 days and see BETTER results.

You most certainly are not.
The goal here is to challenge/motivate each other to run more.

Count me in...sounds like a great idea! After recovering from Boston, I'm hoping to focus on getting a faster 10K with some 5Ks and tune-ups mixed in there!

Should be great motivation for all of us!

That's about my level too! As in that's a goal, I haven't even done 5k in a year or two, so just working up to that now. Thinking of doing a 5k on the 17th in fact so that woudl be a good start, if I complete it LOL!

Count me in!

What marathon are you doing? I'm so jealous. I have to start to get my miles back up and them pick a fallish marathon.
Good luck

Yeah - well said. I think this is great that we're helping each other - and it doesn't matter how far or fast you do it... we're all just trying to do a bit more and get a bit better. Being able to judge the difference with a race or training route is going to make it all the better! :-)

Hey Guys,

I just discovered this thread. I began a 1000 consecutive day challenge on July 22nd, 2008, 632 days ago. I'll enter into my final year on Monday. I do at least 8-12km/day, some days a lot more. I made it through winter storms, minor injuries, my daughter's birth, etc... (Most days I bike at least 20km as well but that's commuting).

After the first 100 days it gets easy/effortless, in fact, it would be hard to stop. I don't think I'll be comfortable stopping after 1000 days.

Anyhow, I've setup a web page to track the passing of time:
http://twistedreality.ca/days.html

If you view the page source, you can copy the code.

Have fun
Jamie

Great to see a few people keen now! It's already started for me and I've done my first run. Not that it was an impressive one! :)

If people want to post here what they've done, I've setup a google spreadsheet to track things and I can embed an image in the first post of the thread. I set it up to track daily kms (or converted miles), cumulative kms, days run and elevation gain - if you're interested in that, but maybe its just me :) Anything else? Cumulative hours? I seem to be all over the globe for the next 3 months so I am going to struggle to keep up with the tracking of it I imagine, but gms is going to help. If anybody else would like to help also, pm me and I can give you write access to the spreadsheet. I'll post the link once we actually get some numbers in it.

of course, if anybody wants to join after we've already started: please do! :)

Like ilovecake, will be commencing one day later (Sunday) due to work hours, etc. So, it'll be 18-April to 27-July (day before my 40th, cool)!

Jeez guys I run 20 on Wednesday and 10 on Thursday and they don't count :(

So do we post our runs and the stats for our run in this thread each week, or after each run?

good question. maybe once/week would be easiest so we don't get too confused trying to keep up.
