So, I have taken my training miles up a notch and so far so good. I'm doing it very very slowly like the professionals recommend. I'm listening to what my body is telling me in regards to pain, and so far so good I think. No injuries as of yet. But... I have this itchy feeling in my shins. Is this the beginning of the shin splints? It's not much of a pain, more of a tiny annoyance like a mosquito bite really. So if this is the beginning of shin splints, what can I do to prevent it from getting worse? I'd like to nip this in the bud as early as possible.
All comments appreciated, I couldn't find anything about "itchy shins are the first sign of shin splints" on the intertubes...
