Ran the first ever Tavistock HM today. It was well organised and fairly good weather, although it got hotter quickly. Despite the hilly course I took a few seconds off my PB, which looks like 1:33:30. The results have not been posted yet so this may change, but not by much.

Edit: the official chip time was 1:33:23, so that's 32 seconds off my Pb.

Ran the Boston Marathon today. First marathon as a vegan and PR'd with a 3:27:52. Had some friends say that they should try veganism if it helps make them faster! :) Pretty tough course with the hills, especially coming from Chicago, but ecstatic! Plus, training didn't go as wanted since I was injured for a couple of weeks.

I've only been a vegan since February 1st and as planning on using it as a trial for 3 months, but I have no plans to go back to being a vegetarian even if it makes travel more difficult. Had a complete breakdown last night since Whole Foods here didn't have vegan pizza, so had to settle for something else. And, was having problems with my leg. But, it all worked out in the long run!

So, could you please add me to the list? Also, I did a half marathon in March (1:38:11) as a vegan. Improved my time on that course (tough and hilly, but good tune-up for Boston) by 5 minutes! :)

Congrats Konstantin!

Well done Aliki! Great time and great just to be at Boston, I imagine.

Ran my not so local parkrun today, so I now have a time for a 5K- 20:46
I was near the back of the field at the start, so slowed down a bit by passing others. So I'm sure I can improve my time a bit.

Hi,

First normal running race for ages (I think almost a year!). A 10K club race (first 10K in like 3 years) ... and managed 39.50. Can you add to the table please, Runner? (in 10K Male)

Thanks :-)

Ah.. see that this is a table for all PB's .. I'll dig some out but in the meantime I've got

40 miles 5:51
45 miles 7:44
50 miles 9:17
70 miles 15.48

Cheers :-)

Ran the BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 2, 2010. Finished 3:37:48. Was headed for a 3:09 finish at the halfway mark but serious muscle cramps in my calf muscles resulted in the last 15km walked with short sprints when I could take the pain.

Pleased with my first marathon and already enrolled for next year!

Hi Guy's added your times (skoptic) 10k and 50m time as talked over before we try to keep the table a bit standard distances.

Hi - new member here (been a vegan for for 20 years - and a runner for 5 years).

Best times this year so far are:

Marathon 3:42:07 (a PW)
20miles: 2:30:05
Half marathon: 1:28:46
10k: 40:41
5k: 19:06 (that was in Dec '09, but near enough).

I am a member of the Serpentine club in central London, but intend to be getting a 'Vegan Runners' shirt and wearing that more often.

Best wishes to you all,

Rob
