training for marathon - maybe

Postby jillbren » Wed Jul 07, 2004 9:55 pm

I am CONSIDERING taining for the L.A. Marathon - March 2005. Currently I run about 25 - 30 miles per week.

Does anyone know in what ways I should change my eating if I decide to train for this.

Anyone here from Los Angeles that runs the marathon?

My cousin runs it every year and does very well.

This is a good site to read through: http://www.halhigdon.com/marathon/Mar00index.htm

and these may be helpful as well:

I've read in sports magazines that doing hills is good too :).
"The hand that signed the paper felled a city;
Five sovereign fingers taxed the breath,
Doubled the globe of dead and halved a country;
These five kings did a king to death."
