New vegan project: VeganStart.org!

Postby Dave Noisy » Mon Jan 05, 2015 8:30 pm

Hey guys, long-time no chat! Hope you've all been well. =)

Just wanted to pop by to let you know about my new vegan endeavour - it's called VeganStart, and encourages a swap to vegan breakfasts!

Between things like Meatless/Meatfree Monday and 7 to 30 day vegan Kickstarter programs, there isn't much else (i've found) 'in-between'...which can be intimidating for many. I've been advocating a swap to vegan breakfasts for some time, but decided to formalize it as another option for people who want to try moving towards a vegan lifestyle.

Check it out, we've still got a lot of growing to do, but hope it proves to be a helpful step for people. The website is http://www.VeganStart.org, and of course we're on all social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, G+, Pinterest), so any support there is welcome!

Thanks for taking a look, and let me know if you have any feedback, always welcome more input! =)

- Dave (who is surprised to still be in the Top 10 for number of postings!)

Does this mean we'll be seeing you post here again? Also, was it just a coincidence that you just posted -and- originally joined VF on this very same day - and even at almost the same time?!

Whoa - seriously?? Too weird. The universe was calling...haha

I'll try and pop in, but likely not too much... I'm on a break from riding/racing (GASP!), but focusing on this program. =)

Hope you've been well! Many of the regulars still around?

Great concept - great presentation : the logo is great

what you think about this :

http://freefromharm.org/food-products/d ... s-recipes/ maybe add this link under the egg part

maybe also separately a word about the kala namak thing though - i never tried it im not sure how good it is

Of course im just throwing ideas - its very good already the way it is - im saying this stuff only in case you didnt hear about the recipes and that salt thing

again love the concept you can become vegan breakfast experts - good job :D may you improve and improve until you become the ultimate vegan breakfast guide

Thanks, isreal! The logo is just a draft, but the professional version will be maintaining the theme. =)

Wow - that's a huge article, thanks! Funny, just tried out pudla last week, check out the 'eggs' section here: http://veganstart.org/start/starting-tips/

You're exactly right, i feel like i'm becoming an expert on breakfasts, too funny.. It's great getting all the positive feedback tho, thanks again, really appreciate it and the suggestions, will have to figure out how to include that link! =)

Dave Noisy, wow a blast from the VF past! There don't seem to be many of the old crew around these days sadly; I guess social media is such a big thing now that messageboards have died off a bit.

On the subject of breakfast I do occasionally make secret vegan pancakes for non-vegan family members & then just lie that I've made them 'normally'
