Nice article.

How much fat, protein and calories do you recommend? I have been eating high fat/low carb for most of this year according to Phinney's/Volek's plan.

Regarding your point 4. I have to say though that lately porridge (with fruit, nuts etc) has moved naturally to the top of my favourite foods whilst salads have moved down (still eating lots of vegetables in general and having green smoothies and occasionally a salad). The same for my wife. On the contrary in the summer we were both salad-obsessed. Maybe the vegan diet connects oneself to eat naturally with the seasons and porridge for example is very comforting and satisfying at this time of the year. At least where we live, might be different if one lives in California as you do.

Totally depends on your body composition, weight, activity level, and goals. :)
