Avocado, protein shake, and oatmeal today. If I go with peanut butter it's usually only in the morning, as I find it spikes too high in fat for my evening diet.

How do you do that? The peanuts in the oatmeal I mean, I get the coffee. Whole or broken peanuts and when do you add them?

I just tossed a handful of whole roasted, salted peanuts in my oatmeal as it was cooling - tasty stuff! Though I'd have preferred to also have had some fresh berries to mix in too...

Toasted cinnamon-raisin bagel with PEANUT BUTTER - really, the bagel is just a vehicle for the peanut butter

A bowl of: 1/2 cup fresh sprouts, nutritional yeast, 2 tbs flax seed, 1/2 cup whole grain oatmeal.

1/3 cup of fried (no oil) potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions.

1 slice sprouted grain bread, with chickpea and peppers home made spread.

Sometimes I will add a 1/2 cup of home made green smoothie.

I'm new to this forum and am enjoying the great posts!

What's your go-to breakfast though? For those of you who have a breakfast routine, something for which you *always* keep the ingredients at hand?

Mine used to be soy latte with oatmeal (oats+soymilk), some brown sugar, cinnamon and hempseed meal on top of the oatmeal. Made in the microwave would take 2 minutes to fix, and together with latte, 20g protein. However, I'm suspecting I'm sensitive to oats now, and for some reason am struggling to come up with an easy (read: tofu scramble is too much hassle), healthy, protein-rich go-to breakfast sans oats.

I'm firmly in the oatmeal camp... oats, banana or apple or berries, peanut butter, maca powder, cinnamon, and a handful of walnuts. I've been eating it every morning for years. I'd try to sub another whole grain (first thought was cream of wheat, but that's not a whole grain), maybe quinoa or even brown rice (way more prep though). Have you tried chia pudding? Not my thing, but it seems to be on trend at the moment, since you can make it in a mason jar and all :)

Panic at the vegan cult this morning, no potato waffles in the freezer!
Has to settle for beans on toast, with gazpacho, apple juice and coffee.

Rye bread toasties with garlic, olive oil, fresh tomato and homemade gomashio.
Bananas, cashews and almond milk.

I'll start having stronger breakfast, UK style, as soon as a I manage to eat beans at the morning.
I accidentally replaced all of my blood with coffee.
