I'm hosting the Animal Voices radio show tomorrow (http://www.animalvoices.ca) and am taking questions on vegan nutrition. I'll be speaking with Brendan Brazier, who you all know I'm sure, and Mark Occhipinti (info below). If you have any questions, please post below or on facebook.
On this week's show, fitness trainer and former co-host of Animal Voices, Rob Moore, will be on once again to discuss fitness and nutrition with some of today's top experts.
First, we'll reconnect with Brendan Brazier, Canadian ultramarathon champ and creator of Vega, who's been busy veganizing Hollywood. In case you haven't heard, Wolverine, aka Hugh Jackman, has become a fan and wrote the foreword to Brazier's book, Thrive: The Vegan Nutrition Guide to Optimal Performance in Sports and Life. We'll discuss superheroes, vegans and what you need to be a fit, healthy vegan.
Then answering your questions on vegan nutrition will be Dr. Mark Occhipinti, nutrition consultant and president of the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA). Mark's educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science, a Master's of Science in Exercise Physiology specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation, and a doctorate in applied Human Nutrition. He is a trained and accomplished Strength Coach, Emergency Medical Technician, Hospital Corpsman-Fleet Marines, Certified Massage Therapist & Certified Biofeedback Specialist, competitive Power lifter and Bodybuilder.
And since Rob is a big believer in balance, we can't talk about healthy food without talking about cupcakes! And not just any cupcakes. These cupcakes earned Chef Chloe Coscarelli top prize on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars! (Watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yVhdfLd ... r_embedded.) Chef Chloe will discuss her amazing vegan fare and give her top tips to our vegan baker listeners.
