Calorie counting

Hi everyone, I've been trying to workout how many calories I consume a day so I can get a small calorie defecit for healthy weight loss. I eat a lot of fruit and what I'm wondering is that is most fruit so small in calories that there is no point me taking note of it?

Most "hand" fruits like apples, oranges, and bananas contain fewer than 100 calories. If you're shooting for a 500 calorie deficit (a common number), then that's 5 pieces of fruit. You'd probably be better off cutting your calories somewhere else. If that's not what you were talking about, then nevermind.

But yeah, I'd suggest still counting the fruit. I probably wouldn't count vegetables, though, since some vegetables are actually so low in calories that your body burns more calories digesting them than it gets from them.
