Zabriskie crashes out......

Postby JohnBarleycorn » Sun Jul 10, 2011 1:35 pm

Quite a nasty crash took out DZ, Veno and a few others.

So we'll never know how Zabriskie's Vegan/Non vegan diet would have helped him !

And probably the former fastest British Vegan 10, 25 and 50 mile TT rider. Probably.

Terrible! Broken wrist by the sounds. Did Vande velde abandon too? 2 team members in one go ain't too good. Millar wounded. They're all in the same team as the sol NZer that made it to the tdf this yr. Would have been good seeing Dave riding in support in the mountains too :(

So many crashes this year (not that in other years there hasn't been any, but still). What a terrible way to go out. Feel sorry for Vino too(broken pelvis or femur, elbow), this being his last tdf and all. Brutal!

Lucky there weren't any more serious injuries as a result :( .

I haven't heard that Vande Velde abandoned. I think he is still in at the moment. Millar looked pretty battered though.

Shame about Veno. So close to Yellow yesterday. And as you said, his last Tour. He deserved better than a career ending injury.

And what about that French TV car ? Really shocking !

I felt a bit glum after he'd crashed out. Prob's broke his bones cus of his vegan diet though eh ;)
Let's plunge ourselves into the roar of time, the whirl of accident, may pain and pleasure, success and failure, shift as they will - for it is only action that can make a man.
