I get the feeling that flapjacks might be the perfect long-distance cycling food?

I think, you may be on to something. Peanut butter flapjack, i could eat it all day.
Let's plunge ourselves into the roar of time, the whirl of accident, may pain and pleasure, success and failure, shift as they will - for it is only action that can make a man.

I think they take ages to digest, so are Ok for an hour before cycling or during a rest stop. Jam sandwiches is my backpocket foodstuff
