Still sad for George. Not sure if Astana is really to blame, although i only saw the highlights reel, there was a period where they moved to the front, and the time went from 6:00 to 6:30 (obviously slowing it down). Dunno if you can say the same about Garmin tho......

Pissed about Cav being relegated. He didn't change his line, the barriers got narrow, Hushovd should have been looking ahead...that was lame, and now it's unlikely Cav can take the green in the end. =(

I still think it's been a great Tour, Contador on Sunday, holy crap. Check this out: Contador @ 1900m/h VAM in yesterday's stage: http://bit.ly/DN5dR; Pantani @ Alpe D'Huez in '97 was 1744 VAM: http://bit.ly/pyjDT - comparison of their climbing..holy moly!!

yeah, the pictures are pretty gruesome. hope he's OK but the reports say he went to hospital so i guess it's over for him.

good to see astarloza win his first stage. the cafes here were bouncing this afternoon when they were descending petit saint bernard.
a friend here grew up in the same village as him, and they used to hang around together as teenagers. apparently, no-one knew he was a cyclist until they went for a ride over the local mountain...!
