That is brilliant. I wonder what it looks/feels like to bike behind someone with it, a constantly moving bike lane sign would probably confuse me. But then again, I get distracted by shiny things :)

Does this product exist outside of Photoshop and/or the mind of a designer, does anybody know? I emailed this thread to a cycling activist friend and now he wants to know more

I had a bit of a search on google and it seems like every mention of it shows the same picture.
If I'd invented something like this and made a working prototype, I think I'd make the effort to post a short video on youtube or get a couple of bike magazines to do a review.
What other examples are there of lasers being used to project an image, rather than a single red dot ?
It does make me a bit suspicious.

whilst it is a great idea.
i dont think it's going to work that well, a big battery will be needed to power the lazer and even then, lazer light's dont show up very well on black (tarmac) so it's not going to be as clearly defined as it is in that picture, a little photoshop wizardry is in place their i think ;)
