Ha! I've totally done something similar... had a rather large crush on a rider and we were talking on a lawn while watching a race and it had been freshly cut and he had clippings on his elbow so I just brushed it off for him ;) Didn't save those though.

Ha Ha !

Just for the record, I didn't save it ! I flicked it onto the ground !

And I didn't have a crush on Graham either !

Honest !

He has great legs though !

But to restore my masculine image, I will state that I prefer Victoria Pendletons legs !

Tsk ! Nothing more masculine than bike racing !

And you may soon be getting closer to shaved legs than you expected, if your man gets drawn into the world of track cycling !

I think part of the difference is on the bike, ones legs move around a lot more than arms, and so having bandages, etc, on hairy legs spinning 90-160rpm might cause some discomfort.

It's not the same with your arms.

Also, to make a case for hair on the arms - they work like whiskers for me!

As an example, on Sunday we were motorpacing, and i could tell when i was in the best draft position because i could feel the wind on both arms (if it were just one arm, it would me i was to the side too much).

Without arm hair i couldn't feel that! I also notice this on the road, but it's not as extreme as behind a moto.

There is usually a significant difference between the amount of hair on one's legs and one's arms - more surface area with legs and more of a concentration of hair follicles.

I think you need to reread what I posted... Of course it's more uncomfortable for the cyclist, but the claim was that shaved legs was a prerequisite from the EMS personel. Hopefully they won't need to work on legs spinning 90-160rpm ;)
