Hi Bob

Yes, I've gone all American, although I am in Madrid at the moment !

I think its around 42 degrees ?

However much I lose my Euroness, I'll never be seen on a bike in black socks !

Well, my plans to expand into XC endurance may have been put to sleep with the arrival of Maggie, 8.8 inches of unnecessary rear wheel travel DH bike!

This is my humble bike. It's nothing fancy but even affordable bikes are much lighter than what I used to ride back in 1996.

The first change on the cards is to fit SPDs and buy some suitable shoes, then I want to get some decent light forks and might even just go rigid. I also want to get some hybrid road / trail tyres as these are far too slow to use on the road and mud is a non-starter because of where I keep it. I have added a softer saddle as the Specialized Body Geometry saddle I fitted was incompatible with my complete lack of a bum and caused seat bone pain that meant I couldn't ride for another week each time I took it out.

Extremely poor, nothing works. Gears hopping and brakes have no power. But the style is the most important thing.

Cool rides, Seitanist. A teammate I haven't seen for a while has/had a KHS street bike like that, albiet much smaller than yours.

But like I said earlier in my training log, you Swedes can't take all the credit becouse frame is made in England and gears etc in Japan

By the way, does anyone have any idea how old this bike could be? Frame number starts 55? (bike is in shed now and I'm too lazy to go and check whole number). Models are looking quite same year after year in 60's and 70's, but they chance in beginning of 80's. So I guess it could be manufactured in 70's.

The frame is indeed made in Sweden, but the tubes are from Reynolds in England. Usually the frame is said to come from the country where it has been designed and welded by a frame builder, and not where the tubes has been machined.

Looks like a 70'ies Crescent Pepita. If you can read Swedish this web page is a good place to look for more info on it

Ok, you won, Swedish quality!

.. turning brains to Swedish mode..
Tack för den bra länk! Jag tror att cykeln årmodell är 1978 eller 1979 (Shimano delar). So exakt modell kan vara 92319?
.. back to English..
Black pump fits also in 1978 model, but I found also brochures from 1979 http://www.elisanet.fi/kai_js_nurminen/ ... t-1979.pdf (in Finnish)

Many thanks for help Fredrik!
