Anyone want to do Ed Coan DL routine?

I am very tempted to do a local deadlift comp, it is nearly exactly 10 weeks away, the perfect time to run a cycle of Ed Coan's DL program. http://tsampa.org/training/scripts/coan ... _deadlift/
When I did it before I had a really good improvement in my deadlift, requires just 1 dedicated DL season a week.

Current PB is 232.5kg but with a little crackpipe I would like to aim for 240kg.

Anyone else in?

I got my system but if you want to see the video where he explains the routine just search youtube for 'ed coan deadlift'
The plan:
1) 700 kg total and 290 kg deadlift (IPF RAW Junior World Record)
2) 762,5 kg total and 277,5 kg squat (All-Time Drug Tested RAW World Record with Wraps)
3) 762,5 kg total and 275 kg squat (All-Time Drug Tested RAW World Record without Wraps)
4) 775 kg total (All-Time World Record Total, regardless of testing)

Week 7 and 8 just look really tough, besides those it looks very do able. But then I have not deadlifted for months and am sitting behind a computer drinking coffee at the moment. Do remember doing it before and thinking, this program is solid though.

Stand by for 55/80.

Remember what I said when you're on your 8th set of 160kg speed deadlifts.

Followed by three lots of back/hamstring supersets.

On week 1.

It is deadlift program or start running again. With all the speed deadlifts, I think it probably wont effect my Oly stuff too much, might even make me stronger?

Yeah, I remember being really gassed and wishing 90 seconds took longer.

I start tomorrow!
digging around my log to see what weights I used before and came across this gem.

baldy wrote:Exactly, despite everyones advice I started the program last night.
Loved it, its hard, its challenging, it could injure me, it made me sweat, my lungs where on fire and I will probably be sore tomorrow. Fucking awesome.

I do find it amazing how much having a routine written down in a spreadsheet motivates me to do it.

In my genius I was doing 3 sets of 8 reps laying on the ground dying between each.
On actually reading the program I should be doing 8 sets of 3 reps. Tomorrows session should be a breeze.
