I totally forgot about this :D
Pulled 180 kg sumo last monday (previous PB was 160 kg). Will pull another sumo PB on tuesday or wednesday and hopefully remember to take a video.

but even one inch lift off help from the ground does make a diffenence, especially sumo stance. Nevertheless, 180 is in the bag for you, but would be good to get it nailed in normal set up too soon :D

and then 200...

Small update: although I like sumo style deadlifting, I'm still not quite happy with the position. The past few weeks, I've re-started deadlifting in the conventional style, but this time while wearing oly shoes. I know it goes against all advice, but my back seems to like it, as I'm able to keep it straighter. Strange, but true. So far, I've only pulled 135 with it, due to lack of plates, but I can see it going up substantially pretty soon.

185 kg.
It´s a sumo deadlift, so it´s a real PB.

My lower back looks slightly rounded in the setup but didn´t feel like that at all. It may be the reason for my slow starts though. So more of a performance than a health problem.

Five reps? pffft! Take your volume training to VBB! ;) You're good for a 150kg single. Now go get it! :)

Ha ha ha.

Deadlift to 160. Failed twice at 170. At 170. Your current best. Twice!

Now I'm fucking fired up.

What am I doing not joining in here? Think I better do so. My overall target is 5x bw by 31.12.2012 which includes a 165 DL at current plans. But why not aim a little higher? My current DL 1RM Pb recently went up to 140kg. Once everyone has stopped laughing, put me on the table please.

Deadlift to 175kg

I reckon I could do 180kg any time now... but I have a comp coming up on July 7 so I will take it out of the bag then and not before.

Nah, 73's for sure, next comp after that is in November, by which time I may even venture back into the 83's.

My days of being skinny are over.
