SITUATION REPORT

week 3:

Spug returns to something resembling form. A triple with 230kg, then 6 triples with 200kg. Total volume: 3830kg

JP becomes an example of "How not to deadlift" on the Vegan Strength Table thread.

Spug takes a slight lead.

SITUATION REPORT

week 3 (addendum II):

JP goes for a new deadlift PB full blast, no holds barred, balls out

..and fails.

Flirting with cardio has set him back, much like training for half marathon did for Spug few weeks ago.

The race is neck and neck due to valuable lessons learned by JP.

I'm considering joining this race, but i'll have a discussion with my body about it first as the imaginative side of my brain is doing all the talking just now.

SITUATION REPORT

week 5:

JP struggles to recover from two comps and puts in a poor show for rack pulls. But the spirits remain high.

Spugs emotional life has taken a dramatic turn making him thinking more about poetry than PBs, flowers than rack pulls and the singing of birds instead of the sound of metal plates hitting the ground.

Situation is neck and neck, with both taking steps backwards.

I lifted 300 for 2 reps today. That was a good time. Nice even number.

SITUATION REPORT

Week 11:

Both disco bastards dived into new lows of pulling strength for a while easing it back to it on the week 10.

Spug pulls easy 230 for a single.

JP nailes couple doubles with 220 - first one having room for two more reps.

Situation is neck and neck.

Very kind of you to say so, but talking about lifting 220kg for 4 must outrank lifting 230kg for one and talking about it being easy.
