I SAY ITS ON!

Its an open race, anyone welcome, what is at stake here is the pride.

Ran it through the lolfail filter - the result:

Entirely reasonable.

Surprised me a little as well to be honest.

SITUATION REPORT

week 1:

Spug goes for easy double with 220 as per some random routine he ripped off from the net would have him do in some random week. The routine will have him double 260 and nail a crisp 272.5kg single soon, and who are we to argue some random routine off the net?

JP gets challenged by a fellow lifter from another forum and had to go for a triple with 220. That wasnt much work so a double with 230 and a single with 240 followed. The grinder that was 240 suggests that there isnt much more in there at the moment than 250 - a weight which spug has labelled "easy" several times in the past.

Neck and neck at the moment, but JP in the lead from the volume and weight nailed this week.

3x180
1x200
3x220 - pb
2x230 - aye another, but i think not a proper pb since best single is 245
1x240 - slow

Total Volume: 2100kg

1x2 @ 220kg (was tempted to jump to week 3, but better chill and see how back reacts)
"Speed" Deadlift
6x3 @ 180kg

Total Volume: 3460kg

How can we believe anything you say JP?

sub 200 are not counted. Otherwise we may as well start counting how many steps you had to take to walk to the gym.

J to the mothersmurfin' P is right.

I'm in the race, too.
Volume the past week, months and years: 0.

Estimated time to reach target: 20 years (4kg steady progress per year (average gain)).

Is this 600 Biblical Pounds? If so, I'm in.

No, I actually park right at the door, rather than in the parking space, as there are a few less steps to walk. The winner takes the least steps aye?

SITUATION REPORT

week 2:

Spug takes it easy, the 600lbs deadlift is in the bag. No need to rush.

JP does some deadlifting. The big man isn't showing much in the way of imagination there. Smacks a bit of desperation if anything.

Neck and neck at the moment, but spug in the lead due to the maturity of his approach this week. When you've been in the iron game as long as spug has this type of instinctive training pays off big style.
