Vegan margarine is great on toast and bread rolls and for use in baking cakes and flapjacks and on vegan scones with Jam etc. etc. etc.
In fact just had some margarine on bread rolls with soup today.
Margarine = fat = carries flavours, helps you to feel full for longer and also needed by the body for fat soluble vitamin absorption = eat, taste, enjoy
I would say Margarine was a kitchen essential and worthy of inclusion in this thread.
I don't think it has been mentioned yet, but coconut oil/butter is amazing
on toast! I use it sparingly these days, as it has copious amounts of saturated fat...but if you are looking for an alternative to cow's butter than this is about as close as you can get in the natural vegan world.
