My first Vegan dish!

Although I cheated a bit as I used half a jar of M&S tagine paste.. which is usually used for Moroccan lamb steaks (the paste itself does not contain any meat products - or anything artificial). I substituted the lamb with turnips  It actually tasted quite nice and I didn't miss the lamb at all!

If your wondering why I have cous cous _and_ rice, it's because I couldn't get hold of any wholemeal cous cous (waitrose usually sell it) so only had a little as I like the taste of it.

I am 100% sure I want to go Vegan - but I just have to make sure I can do it without making myself ill as I have such a restrictive diet anyway.

Wish me luck!

Good thinking with the turnips! :D Experimenting is half the fun and you'll do much better for it.

Can you eat Granose meat free sausage mix? You have to add water leave it to stand and then it can be added as a dumpling to sauces, its yummy cos it takes in the flavour.

Another great thing is tofu, can be sliced thin, fried til crispy then added to stirfries. :)
