yes. We are learning unarmed 8) so I hear ya, I am starting to feel that maybe I should concentrate more on the escrima. but for now it's ok to do both. Escrima concepts footwork does feel a bit more natural and usuable for me.

:edit: I won't be quitting WT for some time tho, I get to train dirt cheap at the club just 'cause I instruct WT there. So quittin' that would be a bit uneconomic. And to be honest. I love both arts. so highly addictive
:/edit:

I have no idea how it was in the before time with the latosa escrima / wt thing. I have only been practicing escrima for roughly a year :D But it sure seems dumb to remove parts of the system like that!

my instructors are named Bengt and Jacques (unsure of the spelling).

I train in a little school in Malmoe, highly associated with WT-center in Copenhagen; so I suppose you could say we get our teachings from sifu Lars over there, and every now and then Master Steve comes over to hold a seminar.
please reveganise me =(

Oh im not saying that you should quite WT or Escrima. For me i just found it hard to combine both together. I know the WT centre in Copenhagen, i have just come back from a Competition, which was held there in November, its an amazing place.

oh cool! I'd love to compete myself, but we have no sparring practice (the club doesn't own any gear for it), so it seems.. like I'd just get beat up 8)

hey Pandiriver, Good to hear of another vegan doing the leung ting system. Used to train a few years ago but life changes made me stop for a while but have recently started again. Should be taking my 3rd grading in a couple of weeks. Have just started learning chi sau again which is brilliant. I try and get in to training 3 times a week + do snt, footwork drills, chain punches and kicks and the parts of ck that I know at home for a couple of hours during the week.
How long you been training? What grade are you at?
Shaun.
