Tonight at 8 on Spike they are showing Ultimate Knockouts 5 (MMA fights), so that's what I'll be watching. 8)

The show before hand with Brandon "The Truth" Vera vs Reese Andy (which I'm watching as I'm typing) is pretty good too. Where it has been noted that their fights usually end up on the ground.....

All truth goes through 3 stages - 1st it's ridiculed. Then it's violently opposed. Finally it's accepted as self-evident.

I watched both events, affliction event was better (well it really should be considering how stacked it was).

VERY impressive showings by fedor, arlovski, and a. silva

brandon vera can be a contender at 205 when he learns to cut weight better. he looks like he didnt handle the cut very well and ended up gassing in the 2nd-3rd round. still did enough to win, but i expected more from 'the truth'

i watched both. the Affliction card was much better, but they seriously need to switch to a cage ASAP. they were rightfully booed with all of the problems they had with the ring.

Fedor was Fedor. i've been laughing at all of the critics who have said he somehow has never had serious competition and that he would have some kind of ring rust. he's a heavyweight who is faster and more explosive than most middleweights. i hate Tim Silvia, but there are probably only 4 or 5 mma fighters in the world capable of beating him and Fedor made him look like a joke.

Anderson Silva gave me the jaw dropping moment of the evening though with that leg kick block, grab, straight right in about 1 second. he is so technically proficient that his fights actually look choreographed.
Are you doing enough to be the best?
