I might not be able to see you, but what does
sight have to do with knowing exactly where you are?

Use the force.

I grew up in mainly bad places, and I've been mugged tons of times and

have yet to see one intellegent fighter. They come at you with rage but

little common sense, I used to wonder why? But now it makes sense to

me; why are they on the streets picking fights?

Limited thinking abillitys; So they use no strategy.

Drug habits; Bad health (may get tierd fast unless on meth)

Lack of discipline; So you Know they're not training seriously

Lack of positive out look; Get demoralized easly (unless on substances in

which case lack of reasoning ability will compensate for this)

When weapons are used they are rearly wielded with any skill, and

thugs mainly rely on the victim, being to scared to oppose them.

I feel sad for thies poor ppl who are mostly abused children who dont

know how to deal with there lives. At the same time no ones going to give

me brain damage through repeated blows.

One point I have to bring up is Ground fighting is for an arena not the

street! If you go to the ground you want up ASAP!

1.A side walk full of glass or just plain concrete is not comfterble to land
on.

2.You don't want to get kicked in the head by friends of opponent either preasent, or on the way around the corner.

3.If some one ties you up on the ground your a sitting duck.

Ground fighting is an important skill, but think about it how many ppl in the UFC get off the ground at will or anytime soon?
the UFC has rules and only one opponent the street has no rules and almost always at least 2 opponents.

Oh and punching some one in the throat or solar plex, is more effective than the abillity to punch through a brick wall.

At least thats my 2cents.
Strength=Power/Time.

Peace, be still!

I just read a post on another forum about how a good MA fighter can beat I good powerlifter in a fight. I am not disputing this opinion.

I want to share my fight knowledge.

1. I used to work for a company. A supervisor at one of this companies sites thought he was a "bad ass" because he was an advanced practitioner in Kung Fu. I do not know which style. Mr. Kung Fu got into a verbal argument with one of his employees, it was a dispute over more hours. The employee was not satisfied with the outcome of this conversation. The worker went after Mr. Kung Fu with a pair of scissors. Mr. Kung Fu did not come out on top. The incident was known throughout the company as the "Bloodbath."

2. I used to play soccer for a club when I was a teenager. My team was playing against one of our arch rivals one game. Some kid on the other team decided to sucker punch our best player in the face. My teamate who is a small 190lbs/86kg "decked" this kid and 3 of his teamates with four punches. My teamate has no martial arts background at all. I think he did a little boxing or his father taught him a few things. We had to restrain "John." While we escorted John off of the field he shout at the entire opposing team "I will f*** all of you up."

3. I know guys who have been training for 5 to 10 years in MA and look good in competition and in the Dojo. I have seen these same guys run like a p**** when confronted by a 250 lb/114 kg muscle bound guy in need of anger management counseling.

4. I used to work in the criminal justice system for the "underdog." I know of a career criminal defendant who has a violent "rap sheet" longer than Yao Ming. In court, even with his ankles shackled, the big burly sheriffs, who were all ex-military, were afraid of this guy. This defendant could not have weighted more than 160 lb/73 kg on a full stomach of prison food.

I wish MA, ex-military/law enforcement officers, powerlifters, and street thugs would stop talking "smack" in person and online.

100 fights does seem like alot..
where you the agressor...
most of the vegans i have met are docle creatures... not trying to stereotype... just ever vegan i know(weight trainer or scronny) dont really fight.
I havent gotten into a fight for quite some time... but you are right elbows and knees are horribly devistating for your opposer. Seems odd most people think fists are the way to go.

You are stereotyping. I know plenty of vegans who are involved in anti-facist/nazi activity who will "throw down" with anybody, anytime, anywhere. http://www.antiracistaction.us/pn/

yeah... I understand that there are diverse vegans... just saying that all of the ones i know... like 100% are the opposit.
so would they enforce their anti nazism through force? seems a bit odd.

I think this part of this discussion should be discussed on another thread. From historical lessons learned from the past, I think that non-violent resistance to nazism/facism has allowed facist movements to grow/spread and take control over communities and entire countries which has lead to genocide and repression. IMO (In My Opinion).
Can an expirenced member help move this discussion to another thread. I am thread moving ignorant. (LOL)
