Was hitler a vegeterian?

Postby israel » Sun May 17, 2015 7:04 am

First its important to note that it dosnt matter even one bit - but i was surprised to read that hitler was a moral vegetarian in Wikipedia some time ago

I saw a video recently that made me rethink that he might have not being a moral vegetarian : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhsQuUL2jd4

1 . I don't think this should be brought up in any conversation even if he did eat meat

2 . if it comes up and he was a vegetarian than we should say the truth : that it doesn't matter one bit what he was - "he also wore clothes and breathed air - so is that wrong to ?"

3 . but if he truly wasn't a vegetarian than it can be a nice shocker to meat eaters and an easy way to make them vegan after the info shock - so there is a value in researching this issue

4 . and if its he wasn't a moral-vegetarian than its also very important someone will change the Wikipedia page !! its showing this information for a long time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitl ... etarianism

So what is your knowledge on this ?

First. It's irrelevant.

Secondly, she's(in the video) quoting biased secondary sources the whole time.

When his secretary and food taster both say he avoided meat in the last few years, that seems to be the best evidence available.

The correct response when someone brings this up in conversation is 'so what?'
(Also they lose the moral argument by bringing up Hitler in a discussion :) )
It's not what you do occasionally that makes a difference, it's that which you do everyday that brings progress.

i just ran into the video and really hoped she might be right so i immediately posted it - to be honest i never researched into this cause it never interested me - thats why i personally didnt want to change the Wikipedia page based on my tiny tiny amount of knowledge on this subject - but did want to put attention on it in case someone here know for sure they are mistaken and hitler did eat meat

anyway its a good thread to have in case someone will have some new info

and 'so what?' is a great response - probably the only good one

Charles Patterson denies this assertion in Enernal Treblinka. I read it in Italian and cannot remember in which chapter he speaks about it. Fortunately, Google came to my rescue. Check this http://www.whale.to/b/eternal_treblinka.html.
i'm focusing on some kind of stuff

You can say :

"Hitler was not vegan ! and its not sure that he was a vegetarian"

to people in israel i have found the most effective thing that makes people silent is to mention all of israels "bad guys" :

ardogan ,nasrala, abo mazen , haneya , ahmadinijad are all meat eaters - non of them are vegans - so will you become a vegan now ?
