I heard about this last month but I can't remember if it was on here or elsewhere. Mixed feelings really. It's good that this will stir up a lot of discussion between the thousands of people there. But I can't help but feel that removing people's choice to eat meat will cause resentment and more ill feelings towards vegans. But kudos to Morrissey I guess.

I could understand where he's coming from if he was vegan, and told the festival to serve only vegan food giving them a list of caters who may be interested. But if it's just vegetarian I don't really see much point. I guess it sends a message, but I think the wrong message, that vegetarianism is somehow better than meat eating. Something that I just can't accept as a truth.
