It's a 2 day event for 2007 and is going to be biger than ever! For those of you in and around Bristol and the South West of England, we really really need lots of help in whatever way you can. Whether thats helping on the day, giving out leaflets in advance, telling everyone about it or turning up with all your freinds and family. It's an outdoor event this time and there is going to be a small chanrge. But as you'll see, there are going to be live bands playing, lots of entertainment, talks, stalls, ......well just have a look on the webiste!

How was this event? I hear about it each year, that it is going on, but don't know much about it.

Any reports?

Hi Robert,

It's a great event. It's the best vegan event I have been to. There's the usual talks, stalls, etc but there is a focus on fun and positivity with it thanks to the legend Tim from Yaoh who organises it. He puts together things like press up competitions to promote the image that vegans are strong. They have lots of performers like me, martial artists, magicians and live bands. This year they have got some well known bands so hopefully there fans will come who are not vegans.

I have also heard of the Bristol Vegan Fayre, not surprising really as that is where I was born and still live.

I am hoping to attend the one in 2007, this will be the first one I have attended because I have only just returned to Bristol after 6 years living in the 'frozen' north of England.

Do many people from this community attend the Fayre?

We estimated about 7000 people last year. There was an outdoor stage, as well as the indoor stalls and talks and the fayre was during a July heatwave so it attracted a lot of passers by.
This year is fully outside (with some tents) so it's going to be great if it's sunny!

That's great news that it's mainly outside these sort of events are really stuffy when there's a lot of people.

I am still searching for people to be stewards at the fayre. It is such a massive event that I am going to need twelve people and each person will need to work a 6 hour shift on each day.
The upside is that there is some money set aside to pay people a small amount, you get into the fayre free, get to be part ofthe fayre and best of all work with me!
I should be getting job descriptions soon so if anyone's interested, please contact me.

Awesome!

Looks like a lot of fun! I hope it all goes well and you get all the organizers and volunteers you need to make a really successful event!
