Victory! United Airlines bans transport of primates

Postby ActivistsForum » Tue Jan 29, 2013 8:46 am

United Airlines stops transporting primates for vivisection.

As part of last year's Animal Activits Forum, PETA conducted a protest to stop the transportation of primates for vivisection by United Airlines.

In a statement, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said
it had been told by United Airlines that it would ban the transport of
primates to laboratories under the terms of its cargo policy. The new
United policy reads "We do not book, accept or transport primates to or
from medical research facilities”.

We are pleased to have played a part in this campaign.

"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."
